We provide independent advice, counselling and support to anyone affected by or dealing with the challenges and opportunities of adoption. to meet changes in adoption practice, the centre has developed a range of services that reflect the complexities of contemporary adoption. we now offer support, counselling, advice, and therapeutic input to individuals, couples or families. around 1850 people use the post-adoption centres services each year, mainly covering london and the south-east of england. the centres director and counsellors are all professionally qualified and have a wide experience of adoption and post-adoption work. the multi-racial counselling workers are supported by external consultants, administrative and fundraising staff. the centre has particular experience of working with black and multi-racial children and families and trans-racially adopted adults, as well as gay and lesbian adopted people.
