Camden Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Forum

Camden Lesbian Gay Bisexual & Transgender Forum is a charity that aims to improve Camden for LGBT people in the area. The main aims of Camden LGBT Forum are: to improve the social inclusion of LGBT people in the borough by articulating needs re: service provision and identifying gaps in service provision to promote awareness and understanding of LGBT needs within statutory and voluntary service providers to ensure equality of access to services in the borough to represent and support members of the LGBT communities to enable their full participation in society.

Campaign for Homosexual Equality

The Campaign for Homosexual Equality is a voluntary organisation working to change the attitudes and laws that make life difficult for homosexual and bisexual people in England and Wales. CHE was formed in 1969. As the Committee for Homosexual Equality, CHE became a national organisation and attracted support from many leading figures in the medical profession and the arts, together with some from the Church.

Carers Liaison

The role of carer liaison is to ensure that carers voices are heard and that they have a say in the provision of services. the liaison officer attends lots of meetings in north staffordshire, on behalf of carers, and provides feedback to health and social care services, about carers views and concerns.

Crocus, Croydon's LGBT Network

Crocus is being set up as a strong voice for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people in the London Borough of Croydon. It was formally launched on 12th May 2008 at an event in Croydon Town Hall.

Croydon Area Gay Society

To support the principles that: Homosexual Equality demands the acknowledgement that Homosexuality is a valid form of sexual expression lesbians, gays and bisexuals have a right to live free from social and legal discrimination gay people make a contribution to society equal to that of heterosexuals. Homosexual Equality therefore requires: The elimination of sexism, racism and ageism in all their forms. The positive representation in education and media of homosexuality and the lives of lesbian, gay and bisexual people.

FLAGS Active Support Unit

FLAGS is the National Scout Active Support Unit which actively supports the recruitment, retention and ongoing support of LGBT adults within Scouting in the UK.

The Gay Police Association (GPA) exists to: - work towards equal opportunities for gay police service employees - offer advice and support to gay police service employees - promote better relations between the police service and the gay community

Hackney Homophobic Crime Forum

The forum works to reduce instances of crime affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (lgbt) communities within hackney. produced and distributed homophobic self reporting form to lgbt venues within hackney. hhcf is open to all members of the lgbt communities who live, work or socialise within hackney, actively seeking members to work towards its aim of reducing the fear of crime within the lgbt community.

IGSA (International Gender and Sexuality Alliance)

IGSA is a non-governmental grassroots groups who relies on donations to sustain their global work.
The organisation was formed in 2010 by activists representing all continents and with the common goal of working towards a fairer world free of opression, homophobia and transphobia that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and other gender variant persons witness globally.

Independent Academic Research Studies

Iars is a youth-led social policy think-tank that was set up in 2001 to empower and give voice to young people so that they can influence policy and democratically engage in society as equal citizens. through volunteering, youth-led work, training, skills-development programmes and research, young people at iars aim to improve practices that affect them and as role models participate in society and support their peers and youth-led organisations and groups in creating a tolerant and equal society where young people are respected and valued.

The lambeth lgbt forum aims to make lambeth a safer and more enjoyable place for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people.

Lesbian Advocacy Service Initiative

In the spring of 1999 a number of women met informally to explore the possibility of establishing an organisation that might be broadly supportive of the lesbian and bisexual womens community throughout the north of ireland. the group, which became known as the lesbian advocacy services initiative (lasi) received funding from nlcb to undertake a feasibility study focused on the needs of lesbian and bisexual women.

Lesbian and Gay Coalition Against Racism

Lagcar was formed to create a visible anti-racist voice of lesbians and gay men, and to help forge the unity needed to defeat racism, homophobia and bigotry. lagcar believes that the fight of lesbians and gay men against homophobia cannot be seen in isolation. we need alliances with all communities in unity between lesbians and gay men, black and jewish communities, the trades unions and religious organisations, women and disabled people, students and young people.
