Strengthening organisations through involving volunteers

The Consortium believes that volunteers are the lifeblood of the voluntary and community sector, and that volunteering can play a crucial part in enriching the lives of LGBT people. Engaging with volunteers enables organisations to achieve more and improve their services by ensuring that they remain in touch with their communities and service-users. Getting involved in volunteering gives LGBT people the opportunity to engage positively in their community, make a difference, build skills and experiences, gain confidence and meet new people.

The InVolved Project works with LGBT and non-LGBT organisations in England, supporting them to strengthen and diversify their volunteering programmes.
